Section 5- The sum or sums of money which may have accrued or may hereafter before the first day of July 1919, accrue to the State of Illinois, under the provisions of an Act of Congress of the United States, approved August 30, 1890, entitled, "An Act to apply a portion of the proceeds of the public lands to the more perfect endowment and support of the colleges for the benefit of agriculture and the mechanic arts," established under an Act of Congress, approved July 2, 1862; and the money granted by an Act of Congress approved March 4, 1907, entitled, "An Act making appropriations for the Department of Agriculture for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1908," are hereby appropriated to the Trustees of the University of Illinois, and whenever any portion of the said money shall be received by the State Treasurer it shall immediately be due and payable into the treasury of said board of trustees. The Auditor) of Public Accounts is hereby authorized and directed to draw his warrant on the State Treasurer for the sums hereby appropriated, upon the order of the President of the Board of Trustees of said university, countersigned by its secretary and with the corporate seal of said university attached thereto. DISCONTINUATION OF WORK IN ANATOMY IN URBANA

(11) A recommendation that the President of the University be authorized to drop the subject of anatomy from the curriculum offered in Urbana for the academic year 1917-18, and the one-year medical course of which that is a constituent part, in case it should prove necessary to do so. On motion of Mr. Carr, this matter was referred to the President of the University with power to act.

RESIGNATION OF DEAN STEELE

(12) A statement that Dr. D. A. K. Steele had resigned his position as Senior Dean of the College of Medicine and Professor of Surgery, to take effect July 1, 1917. On motion of Mrs. Evans, this resignation was accepted and Dr. Steele was appointed Professor of Surgery, Emeritus; and the President of the University was requested to express the appreciation of the Board for the long and faithful service rendered by Dr. Steele as dean and member of the faculty of the College of Medicine,
