(24) A request from Professor J. C. Blair that the sum of $6ooo be transferred to the Experiment Station appropriation for floriculture from the College appropriation for horticulture.

On motion of Mr. Hoit, the President of the University was authorized to make this transfer.

APPOINTMENTS ACCEPTED (25) A statement that Messrs. W. W. Charters and A. T. Olmstead had accepted the appointments tendered them in education and history, respectively (see pages 250 and 253).

This report was received for record.

BONDS OF CASHIER, AUDITOR, AND COMPTROLLER

Mr. Hoit reported for the Finance Committee that satisfactory bonds had been secured for the Cashier, Auditor, and Comptroller (see page 265).

The Secretary presented for record the following list of appointments made by President James:

Anderson, R. S., Student Assistant, to give 8 hours' service a week during the second semester of the current academic year, with remuneration at the rate of fifty cents ($.50) an hour. (March 14, 1917) Blair, E. T., Student Assistant in Anatomy, to give 4 hours' service a week during the second semester of the current academic year, with remuneration at the rate of fifty cents ($.50) an hour. (March 14, 1917) Charters, W. W., Professor of Education, at a salary of four thousand dollars ($4000) a year, beginning September 1, 1917. (March 26, 1917) Gilchrist, Virgil, Student Assistant in Anatomy, to give 6 hours' service a week during the second semester of the current academic year, with remuneration at the rate of fifty cents ($.50) an hour. (March 14, 1917) Hottman, H. H., Student Assistant in Anatomy, to give 6 hours' service a week during the second semester of the current academic year, will remuneration at the rate of fifty cents ($.50) an hour. (March 14, 1917) Keener, H. A., Graduate Assistant in Anatomy, to give 8 hours' service a week during the second semester of the current academic year, with remuneration at the rate of fifty cents ($.50) an hour. (March 14, 1917) McCorkle, W. E., Graduate Assistant in Anatomy, to give 10 hours' service a week during the second semester of the current academic year, with remuneration at the rate of fifty cents ($.50) an hour. (March 14, 1917) Mohr, George, Graduate Assistant in Anatomy, to give 9 hours' service a week during the second semester of the current academic year, with remuneration at the rate of fifty cents ($.50) an hour.
