MEETING OF THE BOARD OF THUSTEES -OFTHE- UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS February 21, 1917 A special meeting of the Board of Trustees 0;f the University of Illinois was held at the Blackstone Hotels in Chicago, at 12 o'clock noon, on Wednesday, February 21,-1917, pursuant to the following notice which was sent out by the Secretary on February i'6, 1917: On the call of the President, Mr. W. L. Abbott, there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, at 12 o'clock noon, on Wednesday, February 21, 1917, to consider such matters as the committees of the Board and the President of the University may submit, and such other matters as may be duly presented. When the Board convened, the following members were present: President Abbott, Mrs, Evans, Mrs. Henrotin, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Taggart, Miss Watson. President James was present. There being no quorum, the Board adjourned. H. E. CUNNINGHAM W. L. ABBOTT Secretary President MEETING OF T H E EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE February 21, 1917 A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, on Wednesday, February 21, 1917, immediately following the.meeting of the Board of Trustees on the same day. Mr. Abbott, Chairman, and Mr.; Hoit, a member of-the Committee, were present,; also Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Henrotin^Mr. Taggart, and Miss Watson, members of the Board. President James was present. 231
