MEETING OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE SEPTEMBER 11, 1914.

A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at Hotel LaSalle, in Chicago, on Friday, September 11, 1914, immediately following the adjournment of the meeting of the board held on that date. There were present Mr. Abbott and Mr. Moore, members of the Executive Committee; Mr. Blair, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Henrotin, and Mr. Hoit, members of the board, and President James.

PRINTING OF A N N U A L REPORTS.

President James presented and asked for .authority to print the report of the Comptroller for the past year. He stated also that the President is preparing a report to the board which, with the Comptroller's and Registrar's reports, will cover the entire administration of the University. On motion of Mr. Moore, President James was authorized to have these reports printed.

CHANGES IN AGRICULTURAL SALARY BUDGET.

President James presented a recommendation from the Dean of the College of Agriculture and Director of the Experiment Station for certain changes in the budget of the College of Agriculture and the Experiment Station as printed on pages 28 to 34.

( 2 ) T h a t t h e title of Mr. F r e d W . M u n c i e be c h a n g e d f r o m F i r s t A s s i s t a n t in F l o r i c u l t u r e , S t a t i o n , to F i r s t A s s i s t a n t in F l o r i c u l t u r a l C h e m i s t r y in t h e A g r i c u l t u r a l E x p e r i m e n t S t a t i o n , a title w h i c h a c c u r a t e l y e x p r e s s e s h i s w o r k . ( 3 ) T h a t t h e t i t l e of Mr. I. D. Allison b e A s s o c i a t e in H o r t i c u l t u r e , College a n d S t a t i o n , i n s t e a d of A s s i s t a n t in H o r t i c u l t u r e , S t a t i o n . ( 4 ) T h a t t h e s a l a r y of Mr. G. L. P e l t i e r be a d v a n c e d f r o m $1,200 t o $1,600 p e r y e a r . T h e o r i g i n a l r e c o m m e n d a t i o n w a s due t o a n o v e r s i g h t in n o t r e m e m b e r i n g t h a t Mr. P e l t i e r n o w goes on full t i m e i n s t e a d of half t i m e a s heretofore. S e c r e t a r y to t h e D i r e c t o r of t h e A g r i c u l t u r a l E x p e r i m e n t S t a t i o n a n d Miss H a w g o o d , S e c r e t a r y to t h e D e a n of t h e College of A g r i c u l t u r e . ( 6 ) T h a t Mr. E l m e r R o b e r t s be a p p o i n t e d I n s t r u c t o r in Genetics in t h e College of A g r i c u l t u r e a n d F i r s t A s s i s t a n t in Genetics in t h e A g r i c u l t u r a l E x p e r i m e n t Station.

On motion of Mr. Moore, the changes were approved as recommended.

SALARY BUDGET, SUPERVISING ARCHITECT'S OFFICE.

President James presented a recommendation from Prof. J. M. White, Supervising Architect, that the following increases in the salaries of members of his office staff be made:
