On motion of Dr. Montgomery, the foregoing reports of appointments were received for record. At this point Capt. Thomas J. Smith, of Champaign, formerly President of the Board of Trustees, was announced and was invited to sit with the board. A few moments later, during the presentation of the next matter, Superintendent Blair joined the meeting.

CONTRACT FOR ADMINISTRATION BUILDING AND ADDITION CHEMICAL LABORATORY. TO

Prof. James M. White, Supervising Architect, presented a report of the bids on the Administration Building and the addition to the Chemical Laboratory, which were opened in his presence on Saturday, July 25, in the office of the State Architect in Chicago. These bids were as follows:
