Hetro, Leona E., Stenographer in the Water Survey, beginning September 17, 1913, at a salary of fifty dollars ($50) a month, subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission. (September 27, 1913.) Jones, Thomas S., Artist in the College of Medicine under the direction of Dr. Eycleshymer, for twelve months beginning September 1, 1913, at a salary of thirteen hundred dollars ($1,300) for the year. (September 9, 1913.) Love, Mary E., Departmental Library Assistant in Natural History and Mathematics, beginning September 22, 1913, at a salary of sixty five dollars ($65) a month, subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission. (September 26, 1913.) Maguire, John C, Instructor in Operative and Prosthetic Dentistry and Assistant to the Superintendent of the Infirmary in the College of Dentistry, for one year beginning September 1, 1913, at a salary of fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500) for the year, with the understanding that his entire time is to be given to the college. J., Assistant in the Laboratory for Clinical Research in the College of Medicine, for twelve months beginning October 1, 1913, at a salary of one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125) a month. (September 30, 1913.) Oaks, Katherine S., Reviser and Assistant in the Library School, for three months beginning September 24, 1913, at a salary of seventy-five dollars ($75) a month. (September 20, 1913.) Provine, L. H., Acting Head of the Department of Architecture, until further notice. (September 20, 1913.) Renich, Katharine Louise, Clerk in the Order Department of the Library, beginning September 22, 1913, or as soon thereafter as she reports for service, and continuing until August 31, 1914, at a salary of sixty dollars ($60) a month. Shaw, Hazel Y., Cataloger in the Library, beginning September 22, 1913, at a salary of sixty-five dollars ($65) a month, subject to the regulations of the Civil Service Commission. Thompson, David, Assistant in Geology, for ten months beginning September 1, 1913, at a salary of forty dollars ($40) a month, vice G. H. Cady, resigned. (September 25, 1913.) *Tippett, Ralph W., Graduate Assistant in Chemistry, for ten months beginning September 1, 1913, at a salary of thirty dollars ($30) a month, vice E. W. Engle. Vanderbeek, Herman J., Mechanician in the Department of Mining Engineering, beginning September 1, 1913, and continuing until further notice, with a salary at the rate of seven hundred eighty dollars ($780) per annum. The secretary reported also that on September 27, 1913, President James, acting under the authority given him by the Board of Trustees, appointed the following persons to the position of Attending Physician to the Dispensary of the College of. Medicine, without salary, in the several departments indicated:
