Ford, Edith H., Reviser and Assistant in the Summer Session of the Library School, for the six weeks beginning June 16, 1913, at a compensation for the period named of eighty-five dollars ($85), vice Flora M. Case, resigned. (June 17, 1913.) Heck, Archie O., Scholar in Mathematics, for the academic year 1913-14, with a stipend of two hundred fifty dollars ($250) for the year. (May 20, 1913.) Holden, James Loomis, Assistant in Chemistry in the Department of Agronomy in the Agricultural Experiment Station, for twelve months beginning September 1, 1913, at a salary of seventy dollars ($70) a month. Wright, Quincy, Fellow in Political Science, for the academic year 1913-14, with a stipend of three hundred dollars ($300) for the year. (May 20, 1913.) REPORT OF AUDITING COMPANY.

The secretary presented a report of the United States Auditing Company of an audit of the books and accounts of the University for the third quarter of the fiscal year ended March 31, 1913, which was received to be filed, certain parts to be printed in the minutes:

May 14, 1913. Honorable Allen F. Moore, Chairman, Finance Committee, University of Illinois, Monticello3 III. DEAR S I R : Following your instructions, we have made our regular quarterly audit of the books and accounts of the University of Illinois for the third quarter of the fiscal year as ended on March 31, 1913. On the several statements, as enumerated on the index prefixed hereto, we present full details of the cash receipts and disbursements. We reconciled the chief clerk's cash account on the morning of April 11, 1913 ; proved the cash book footings from January 20, 1913, to April 11, 1913 ; verified the cash in the office by actual count; and examined and proved the footings of the approved and receipted vouchers in process of entry.
