Meeting of May 9, 1913. Aspecial meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held in the Trustees' Room, in the Natural History Building, University Campus, Urbana, beginning at 2 P.M., on Friday, May 9, 1913, pursuant to the following notice which was sent out by the secretary on May 2, 1913: By order of the president, Mr. W. L. Abbott, a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois will be held in the trustees' room, in the Natural History Building, University Campus, Urbana, on Friday, May 9, 1913, beginning at 2 :00 P.M., to consider such matters as the committees of the board and the President of the University may submit, and such other matters as may be duly presented. When the board convened, the following members were present: Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Henrotin, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Trevett. President James was present. President James reported that he had attended the funeral of Dr. Andrew Sloan Draper, formerly President of the University. President James also gave an informal report of the recent hearings on the University bills before the legislative committees. There being no quorum present, the board adjourned. W. L. ABBOTT, C: M. MCCONN, Secretary. President. MEETING OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE, MAY 9, 1913. A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held in the Trustees' Room, in the Natural History Building, University Campus, Urbana, immediately following the adjournment of the special meeting of the board, on Friday, May 9, 1913. There were present: Messrs. Abbott and Trevett, members of the Executive Committee; also Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Henrotin, and Mr. Hoit, members of the board. It was voted to authorize the chairman to appoint a committee of three to draft resolutions concerning the late Dr. Andrew Sloan Draper, President of the University of Illinois, 1894-1904, deceased April 27, 1913.
