Meeting of April 24, 1913.

A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Blackstone Hotel, in the city of Chicago, at 10 A.M., on Thursday, April 24, 1913, pursuant to the following notice which was sent out by the secretary on April 18, 1913: Upon the call of the President, Mr. W. L. Abbott, there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois a t the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, on Thursday, April 24, 1913, at 10:00 A.M.., to authorize the conferring of degrees upon the graduates of the School of Pharmacy, and to consider such matters as the committees of the board and the President of the University may submit and such other matters as may be duly presented. When the board convened, the following members were present: Mr. Abbott, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Moore. President James was present. There being no quorum, the board adjourned. W. Li. ABBOTT, President. C. M. MCCONN, Secretary.

MEETING OP THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE, APRIL 24, 1913. A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, immediately following the adjournment of the special meeting of the board on April 24, 1913. There were present: Messrs. Abbott and Moore, members of the Executive Committee; Mr. Hoit, a member of the board, and President James. Mrs. Evans and Miss Watson came in a little later and took their seats with the committee. MATTERS PRESENTED BY T H E PRESIDENT OF T H E UNIVERSITY. President James presented the following matters for consideration: AUTHORITY TO CONFER DEGREES UPON GRADUATES OF THE SCHOOL OF PHARMACY. (1) A request for authority to confer the appropriate degrees upon such students as may be recommended therefor by the faculty of the School of Pharmacy; including the degree of Graduate in Pharmacy to be conferred a t the commencement exercises of the School of Pharmacy this afternoon, April 24, 1913, upon the students named .below, and also the degree of Pharmaceutical Chemist to be conferred a t the end of the longer term of the School of Pharmacy in June upon such students as may be recommended later by the faculty of the School of Pharmacy:
