Schedule of Prices for Water Analyses of Illinois Waters for Citizens of Illinois by the State Water Survey. Sanitary examination (chemical and bacteriological): One sample . $ 5 00 Two samples. 10 00 Each succeeding sample in the same shipment.; 3 00 Bacterial examination of supply of which a complete analysis has been made und the chemical examination has been shown to be satisfactory: One sample $ 3 00 Two samples 5 00 Each succeeding sample in the same shipment 1 50 Examination of the mineral content (determination of silica, iron, aluminum, calcium, magnesium, nitrate, chloride, sulphate and carbonate) , 10 00 NOTE—The analysis of the mineral content of a water to be used • for drinking purposes will not be made without a sanitary analysis, making the total cost $15.00. I t was voted that this schedule of fees be approved. ADDITION TO GREENHOUSE. 5. A request from Evelyn Atkinson, superintendent of grounds, endorsed by Dr. T. J. Burrill, vice president, for an addition to the University greenhouse at an estimated cost of eight hundred dollars ($800.00.) I t was voted t h a t this request be referred to the Committee on Buildings and Grounds, with power to act. RECORDING STEAM METER PRESENTED. 6. A letter from Dean W. P. M. Goss, stating that a note from Dr. E. J. Berg, professor of electrical engineering, informs him that the General Electric Company has presented to the Department of Electrical Engineering, through the sales manager of its meter department, Mr. F. L.. Vaughen, a recording steam meter, the value of which is estimated at one thousand dollars ($1,000.00). I t was voted that the University accept this gift from the General Electric Company, and t h a t the President of the University be instructed to extend the thanks of the board to the General Electric Company. EXAMINERS IN ACCOUNTANCY. 7. A report from the Committee on Accountancy that they have been unable as yet to find a suitable person to serve as a member of the Board of Examiners of Public Accountants, to succeed Mr. R. S. Buchanan, whose term of office expired on the first of July, 1910. I t was voted t h a t the President of the University be authorized to appoint a successor to Mr. Buchanan when the Committee on Accountancy is able to find a suitable person.

FACULTY TENNIS COURTS.

8. A request from Dr. Edward Bartow, chairman of a committee appointed by members of the faculty interested in tennis, endorsed by Vice President Burrill, asking that the trustees set apart a suitable place on the campus for the construction of tennis courts for the use of the members of the University faculty.
