The following report was received from the Finance Committee:

To the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois: Your Committee on Finance submits herewith the reports of the Audit Company of Illinois of its examination of the books and accounts of the University covering the period from June 30, 1911, to Jan. 1, 1912, and recommend that said reports be placed on file.

I n accordance with the foregoing recommendation, the reports of the Audit Company of Illinois for the quarter ending Sept. §p, 1911, and Dec. 30, 1911, were received for record, certain parts to be printed in the minutes, as shown below: FOR QUARTER ENDING SEPT. 30, 1911. Nov. 27, 1911. Mr. A. P. Grout, Chairman, Finance Committee, University of Illinois, Winchester, III.: DEAR SIR—We have made our regular quarterly audit of the books and records of account of the University of Illinois for the first quarter (ended Sept. 30, 1911) of the fiscal year, and submit herewith our report thereon, together with the appended exhibits and schedules, showing the receipts and disbursements in detail. We reconciled the chief clerk's cash account on the morning of Nov. 13, 1911, proved the cash book footings from Aug. 7, 1911, to Nov. 13, 1911, verified the cash in the office by count, and examined and proved the footings of the approved and receipted vouchers in process of entry. We obtained a certificate from the First National Bank of Champaign, 111., certifying to the cash on deposit Nov. 13, 1911, as $10,569.41. .
