A recommendation that the president of the University be authorized to accept at his discretion such resignations in the instructional, scientific, and administrative staff as may be presented during the vacation, and that he be authorized to fill all vacancies in the staff of the University, within the budget adopted, which may occur during the vacation because of resignation or declination. This recommendation was approved. DEDICATION OP LINCOLN HALL. 11. A recommendation that the president of'the University be authorized to make suitable arrangements for the formal dedication^ of Lincoln Hall at some convenient date in the autumn, and that an appropriation of seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) be made for this purpose. This recommendation was approved. INCREASES IN SALARY. 12. A recommendation that the salaries of Dr. David Kinley, dean of the Graduate School, Dr. Eugene Davenport, dean of the College of Agriculture, and Dr. W. F. M. Goss, dean of the College of Engineering, be increased each by one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per annum, beginning Sept. 1, 1911. I t was voted to approve this recommendation. 13. A recommendation that the salary of Dr. T. J. Burrill, vice president of the University, be advanced from fifty-five hundred dollars ($5,500.00) to six thousand dollars ($6,000.00) for the coming year. I t was voted to approve this recommendation. APPOINTMENTS IN AGRONOMY. 14. A recommendation that Mr. Leonard Hegnauer be appointed professor of Crop Production in the College of Agriculture, and chief of Crop Production in the Agricultural Experiment Station, at a salary of three thousand dollars ($3,000.00) per annum, beginning Sept. 1, 1911, or as soon thereafter as he reports for service. This recommendation was approved. 15. A recommendation that Mr. Marvin E. Jahr be appointed assistant in Farm Mechanics in the College of Agriculture for the year beginning Sept. 1, 1911, at a salary of one thousand dollars ($1,00,0.00) for the year. I t was voted to approve this recommendation. APPOINTMENT OF CARPENTER FOREMAN. 16. A report of the appointment of Mr. T. J. Showers as carpenter foreman, at a salary of one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125.00) a month, beginning June 1, 1911, until further notice; this appointment having been made by the president of the University subject to the approvalof the board. I t was voted to approve the action of the president in this matter. SECOND EDITION OF ALUMNI RECORD. 17. A recommendation that the president of the University be authorized to prepare a second edition of the Alumni Record, and that a preliminary appropriation of five hundred dollars ($500.00) be made for this purpose.
