The following members of the board were present: Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Grout, Mr. Hatch, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Meeker. The secretary' presented the minutes of the special meeting of Feb. 28, 1911, which were approved.

E L E C T I O N OF O F F I C E R S .

The election of officers resulted as follows: Mr. W. K Abbott was elected president of the Board of Trustees for theensuing year. Mr. C. M. McConn was elected secretary and registrar for the ensuing year. . ' Mr. H. A. Haugan was elected treasurer for the ensuing biennium. Mr. Fred L. Hatch and Mr. A. P. Grout were elected members of the Executive Committee for the ensuing year. Dr. Edmund J. James was unanimously elected president of the University for the ensuing biennium. Prof. S. W. Shattuck was elected comptroller for the ensuing year. Mr. 0. E. Staples was elected chief clerk for the ensuing year.

BONDS.

On motion of Mr. Meeker, the bond of the treasurer was fixed at $2,000,000. On motion of Mr. Meeker, the bond of the chief clerk was fixed at $20,000, and it was ordered t h a t the cost of the same should be paid by the University. .The vote was as follows: Ayes, Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Busey,. Mrs. Evans, Mr. Grout, Mr. Hatch, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Meeker; noes, n o n e ; absent, Mr. Anthony, Mrs. Bahrenburg, Mr. Blair, Mr. Deneen, Mr. Moore. On motion of M r . Hoit, the Finance Committee was directed to secure satisfactory bonds as specified above, and to report the same to theboard for approval.

B E P O R T OF T H E COMPTROLLER.

Professor S. W. Shattuck, comptroller, presented his report, which,, on motion of Mr. Hoit, was referred to the Finance Committee for examination and report.

Paper E is a statement of the United States Agricultural Experiment Station appropriations Dec. 31, 191*0. Paper F is a statement of the School of Pharmacy appropriations Dee. 31, 1910. Paper G is a statement of the College of Medicine appropriations Dec. 31, 1910. Paper H is an estimate of the receipts and expenses for the six months^ ending June 30, 1911.
