The comptroller reported that he had secured the extension of the lease on the premises occupied hy the School of Pharmacy, and had filed the same with the secretary.

KEPAIRS, ETC.

Mr. Abbott reported for the Committee on Buildings and Grounds that the repair budget, which had been referred to the committee with power to act, had been approved.

FEES OF STUDENTS.

The secretary presented the registrar's report of fees due from the students of the University at Urbana for the second semester of the year 1910-1911; the fees due from the Academy students for the same semester; fees due from students of the College of Medicine, the College of Dentistry, and the School of Pharmacy for the regular term of the year 1910-1911. This report was referred to the Finance Committee.

APPOINTMENTS.

The secretary presented the list of appointments made since the last report, and the report was received for record. APPOINTMENTS BY PRESIDENT JAMES. William P. Allen, instructor in Zoology, at a salary of $120.00 a' month for ten months from Sept. 1, 1910. . W. E. Alley, mechanician in the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory, a,t a salary of $85.00 a month for twelve months from Sept. 1, 1910. George P. Arps, assistant professor of Psychology, in place of J. W. Baird, resigned, at a salary of $2,000.00 a year for three years beginning Sept. 1, 1910. Marjorie V. Asche, stenographer in the office of the dean of the College of Engineering, at a salary of $50.00 a month for twelve months, beginning Sept. 1, 1910. William T. Bawden (vice Crawshaw), assistant' dean of the College of Engineering, with the rank-of assistant professor, at a salary of $2,500.00 a year from Sept. 1, 1910. Prank C. Becht, instructor in Physiology, with rank of assistant professor, at a salary of $2,000.00 for the year, beginning Sept. 1, 1910. N. K. Blatherwick, student assistant in Chemistry, at a salary of $10.00 a month for ten months, from Sept. 1, 1910. D. S. Blondheim, instructor in Romance Languages, at a salary of $100.00 * a month for ten months, from Sept. 1, 1910. Edith Bratton, instructor in the Music School, at a salary of $90.00 a month for ten months from Sept. 1, 1910. James T. Barrett, associate in Botany in the Department of Botany, and chief assistant in Botany in the Agricultural Experiment Station, a t , a salary of $1,400.00 for the year beginning Sept. 1, 1910. One-half of salary to be charged to the appropriation made to the Department of Botany, and one-half to the Agricultural Experiment Station.
