for the equipment and support of the Law School, and that the additional amount necessary to provide for the salary list of the Law School and the other items appropriated by the trustees for the support of the Law School, be charged to the general funds of the University. 5. College of Agriculture and Agricultural Experiment Station— That the total amount of salaries paid to members of the staff of the College of Agriculture and the Agricultural Experiment Station be charged to the special appropriations made to these departments by the State and federal government. 6. Music School— . That the total amount of salaries paid to the staff of the Music School be charged against the special appropriation of three thousand dollars ($3,000.00) made by the Legislature at its last session for the maintenance of the School of Music, and that the additional amount necessary to meet the salaries of the staff of the Music School and the other appropriations made by the Board of Trustees for the support of the school be charged against the general funds of the University. 7. College of Engineering and Engineering Experiment Station— That of the total amount of salaries paid to the staff of the Engineering College, amounting to one hundred seventy-two thousand, one hundred and fifteen dollars ($172,115.00) more or less, twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00)—being'somewhat more than one-ninth of the total—be charged against the special appropriation, of eighty thousand dollars ($80,000.00) made by the Legislature at its last session for the maintenance and extension of the Engineering College and expenses of the Engineering Experiment Station. Also, that the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) be appropriated for the support of the Engineering Experiment Station fellowships and be charged to the special appropriation just mentioned. Further, that the sum of thirty thousand dollars ($30,000.00) be appropriated for the support of the Engineering Experiment Station, and t h a t the same be charged to the same special legislative appropriations. Further, that the sum of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) be appropriated for the expenses, maintenance and extension of the nine departments of the College of Engineering, and that the same be charged against the special appropriation mentioned above. Further, that the balance of the expense of the Engineering College and Engineering Experiment Station which may be ordered by the Board of Trustees, shall be charged to the general funds of the University. By the following vote, said recommendations were approved: Yeas,, Messrs. Abbott, Crebs, Davison, G-ront, Hatch and Mrs. Bahrenburg and Mrs. E v a n s ; nays, n o n e ; absent, Blair, Mrs. Busey, Governor Deneen,. Meeker, Moore. 15. (a) That the unexpended balance of the sum appropriated for the* Engineering Experiment Station fellowships for the past year be re-appropriated to the Engineering Experiment Station for general expenses. (b) That the unexpended balance of the sum appropriated for the brake shoe testing machine, amounting to four hundred five dollars and eightyseven cents ($405.87), be assigned to the School of Railway Engineering and Administration for general purposes. Yoted that said recommendations be approved.

16. Recommendation that Mrs. Mary .E. Fawcett be appointed acting dean of women for one year, at a salary of fifteen hundred dollars ( $ V 500.00) per annum, beginning July 1, 1910.
