It is further agreed between the parties that if the party of the second part should so desire it may terminate this lease upon giving sixty days' notice in writing of its election so to do to the party of the first part at the end of any biennium after the thirty-first (31st) day of December, 1 9 . . . . Witness the hand and seal of the party of the first part and the signature of the president of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois and the seal of the said University, this. day of (Seal) Party of the First Part. President of the Board of Trustees.

MATTERS PRESENTED BY PRESIDENT JAMES.

President James presented the following matters for consideration:

AUTHORITY TO CONFER DEGREES. 1. I ask authority to confer degrees June 2d upon those recommended for graduation from the College of Dentistry by the faculty thereof. I also ask authority to confer degrees June 7th upon those recommended tor graduation from the College of Medicine by the faculty thereof. I also ask authority to confer degrees June 15th upon those recommended for graduation by the faculty from the undergraduate colleges of the University,, from the schools of the University, and from the College of Law. I also ask authority to confer, upon the recommendation of the faculty, the honorary degree of Doctor of Engineering upon Lester Paige Breckenridge, Ph. B., M. A., and upon Isham Randolph; and the degree of Doctor of Laws upon Mrs. Ella Flagg Young, Ph. D.

Authority was given to confer degrees as asked.

2. The budget for the College of Medicine for the year 1910-11.

Estimated income of College of Medicine Salaries for instruction Salaries for service Building, ground and rent 4 per cent interest on high school property. Fuel and light.. Laboratories.
