Williamson, Secretary: T h e Committee on College Policy begs leave to submit t h e following report : T h e committee h a s held several meetings by itself a n d with Dr. Bevan, c h a i r m a n of t h e Committee on Medical Education of t h e American Medical Association. After giving t h e subject most extended and careful considerations—the committee w a s u n a n i m o u s in recommending to t h e executivefaculty t h e following resolution. 1. Resolved, T h a t on a n d after t h e session 1910-1911, t h e College of Physicians a n d Surgeons require, in addition to t h e four year high school course, one year of n i n e m o n t h s of college work, consisting of Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Modern Languages, preferably German, for admission to t h e fresh-* m a n year. T h e intent is to bring t h e admission requisites of t h e College of Physicians a n d Surgeons into h a r m o n y w i t h t h e plan recommended by the Committee of Medical E d u c a t i o n of t h e American Medical Association a n d adopted by most of t h e i m p o r t a n t medical colleges of t h e United States." T h e foregoing action w a s rescinded by t h e executive faculty of t h e College of P h y s i c i a n s a n d Surgeons, a t t h e i r a n n u a l meeting in May, 1909. Yours very truly,
