Meeting of December 14, 1909.

The quarterly meeting of the Board of Trustees, was by direction of the president of the board, Mr. W. L. Abbott, called to meet in Chicago at the Grand Pacific hotel at 10:00 o'clock a. m., Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1909. • When the board met pursuant to the call, no quorum was present, and a recess was taken until 2:30 p. m.

Afternoon Session.

At the afternoon session the following members were present;. Messrs. Abbott, Crebs, Grout, Hatch and Moore, and Mrs. Busey and Mrs. Evans; absent, Governor Deneen, Messrs. Blair, Davison and Meeker, and Mrs. Alexander-Bahrenburg. President James was present. The secretary presented the minutes of the meeting of June 24, 1909, the approval of which had been deferred at the meeting of July .21, and not subsquently considered; the minutes of the meeting of Sept. 14, 1909, and the adjourned session of Sept, 21, 1909; also the minutes of the meeting of Nov. 26, 1909. These were approved as presented.

KEPORTS OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE.

Mr. Abbott, chairman of the Executive Committee, presented a report of the action taken by the Executive Committee at its meetings of Nov. 2, 1909, and Nov. 26, 1909, these having been printed on pages 470 to 473 inclusive; in connection with minutes of the meeting of Nov. 26, 1909. The acts of the Executive Committee were confirmed on motion of Mr. Moore.

TREASURER'S EEPORT.

The secretary presented the treasurer's report, which was referred to the Finance Committee.
