Meeting of April 29, 1909.

A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Palmer House, in Chicago, April 29, 1909, pursuant to the following notice which was sent out by the secretary April 20,1909 ! : By order of the president, Mr. W. L. Abbott, there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois at the Palmer House in Chicago at 9:00 o'clock a. m. Thursday* April 29, 1909, to authorize, upon the recommendation of the faculty of the School of Pharmacy, conferring degrees upon those approved for graduation that day and to consider and act upon matters submitted by the president of the University, upon committee reports, and upon such other business as may be duly presented. When the board met pursuant to this call, the following members were present: Messrs. Abbott, Blair, Davison, Grout, Hatch and Meeker, and Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Busey; absent, Governor Deneen, Messrs. Crebs and Moore, and Mrs. Alexander. President James was present. The secretary, Mr. Pillsbury, presented the minutes of the meeting of March 3 1 , 1909, which were approved on motion of Mr. Hatch.
