NATURAL HISTORY BUILDING.

Committee.

The question of- what should be done with regard to the ventilation of the Natural History building and with regard to the building in the court of the Natural History building, a lecture room and museum, was considered at length. Action was deferred with regard to the building until more definite information could be had with regard to the cost for both the ventilation and for the new building. On motion of Mrs. Alexander, a n d by the following vote, $1,060 was appropriated to pay for the ducts for ventilation and heating purposes placed in the walls of the Natural, History building, and $124 for a pent house on the roof: Yeas, Messrs. Abbott, D'avison, Grout, Hatch and Moore, and Mrs. Alexander, Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Busey; nays, none; absent, Governor Deneen, Messrs. Crebs, Blair and Meeker. . On motion of Dr. Davison the question of heating and ventilation was referred to the Committee on Buildings and Grounds with.power to act, by the following vote: Yeas, Messrs. Abbott, Davison, Grout, Hatch and Moore, and Mrs. Alexander, Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Busey; nays, none; absent, Governor Deneen, Messrs. Crebs, Blair and Meeker.

To the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois: The Committee on School of Pharmacy recommends that after May 1, 1909, proceedings be started against the Dearborn Medical College and its surety to collect the amount of rent due at the completion of the period of rental, and that the counsel of the board, Judge Harker, be instructed to take the necessary steps.
