ASSIGNING SPECIAL. ENGINEERING FUNDS. 11. A plan for assigning and appropriating the special funds granted for the enlargment and improVment of the Engineering College and equipment of the Engineering Experiment Station. Appropriations 1907-1909. For maintenance and extension of College of Engineering and equiqment of the Engineering Experiment Station $75,000.00 per annum.

Voted that such assignment and appropriation be approved. 12. A recommendation that the sum of five hundred dollars be paid to Judge O. A. Harker for his services as counsel for the University up to September 1, 1907, and the same amount for the year ending August 31, 1908. Voted to approve said recommendation.

BEOESS.

During the consideration of matters proposed by President James a recess was taken, until 2:00 o'clock. When the board met after the recess the same members were present as at the morning session except Mr. Madden. .. Professor Goss was given leave of absence until November 1, 1907, on full pay.

E A I L W A Y ACROSS T H E C A M P U S .

I t was voted t h a t the route for' crossing the south campus proposed by the joint resolution passed by the General Assembly was not satisfactory, and the special committee to which the matter was referred (see minutes J u n e 1 0 , 1 9 0 7 ) was.directed to confer with Mr. McKinley with regard to its modification, and with regard to other matters which should be settled at the same time that the permit to cross I s granted. I t was ordered that the plat which had been prepared showing the property lines of the University and street lines for a portion of the campus should be printed in the minutes.
