PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES.

INAUGURATION OF PRESIDENT JAMES.

21

A communication from a committee of the Council and Senate with regard to the inauguration of President James was read, and by the following resolution referred to President James and the Council of Administration: Resolved, That we approve in general of the plan of inauguration of the new President, Dr. E. J. James, as presented by the Committee of the Council and Senate, and that the general arrangements, as to time, character, etc., be left to the President and the Council of Administration, to consider and report at the regular meeting in December.

HOUSEHOLD SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIPS.

A report by the Committee on Instruction with regard to the household science scholarships was read, and after a discussion which was brief, inasmuch as the time for a convocation which the Trustees were asked to attend had nearly arrived, was referred back to the committee to be presented at the meeting in December. The Board adjourned.
