a sum equal to those increases shall be charged to the appropriation for salaries in the Experiment Station in addition to what may otherwise be assigned to the same appropriation.

Voted that the above plan be approved.

5. I recommend for the academic year 1906-07: That Thomas Jonathan Burrill be elected Vice President of the University. That David Kinley be elected Dean of the Graduate School. That Evarts B. Greene be elected Dean of the College of Literature and Arts. That James McLaren White be elected Dean of the College of Engineering and that the sum of $500.00 be allowed for his services as Dean in addition to his present salary. That E. J. Townsend be elected Dean of the College of Science and that the sum of $500.00 be allowed for his services as Dean in addition to his present salary. That Eugene Davenport be elected Dean of the College of Agriculture and Director of the Agricultural Experiment Station and that his salary be increased $1,000.00. That A. O. Harker be elected Dean of the College of Law. That T. A. Clark be elected Dean of Undergraduates. That William Edward Quine be elected Dean of the College of Medicine. That Frederick Marion Goodman be elected Dean of the School of Pharmacy. That Bernard John Cigrand be elected Dean of the College of Dentistry. That L. P. Breckenridge be elected Director of the Engineering Experiment Station, with an addition of $500.00 to his salary. That Frederick Locke Lawrence be elected Director of the School of Music. That Edwin Grant Dexter be elected Director of the School of Education. That George A. Huff be elected Director of the Department of Physical Training. Approved. 6. That Associate Professor Edward Bartow be advanced to the rank of Professor, with the title of Professor of Sanitary Chemistry, and that his salary as Professor and Director of the Water Survey be fixed at $2,000.00 from Sept. 1, 1906. Approved. T h e Board took a recess until 1130 o'clock p. m.

Afternoon Session. When the Board met after recess the same members were present as in the forenoon.
