provided that the expenses of reconstruction, etc., in the different buildings of the Engineering College, which may be authorized by the Board of Trustees, shall be charged to these various allowances. One-half of the portion assigned to the equipment fund of the College of Engineering, namely, $30,000, shall be available for the year 1905-06, and the other half, namely, $30,000, for the year 1906-07, and the expenditure within the various departments for equipment must be adjusted to this appropriation. (e) That in estimating the expenses of the Engineering Experiment Station all the expenditures which are clearly incurred for that department alone shall be charged to this account, and such a proportion of the salaries of other men taking part in the work of the Station as may seem equitable. Approved. BUDGET OF ENGINEERING* EXPERIMENT STATION. 16. That the following preliminary budget be adopted for the Engineering Experiment Station for the coming year, to be expended on the recommendation of the staff of the Station and approved by the President:

That the following appointments be made, salaries to be paid from the first item of the preliminary budget for the Engineering Experiment Station: R. W. Rutt, Assistant to the Director and Secretary to the Station Staff, salary $1,500, appointment to date from July 1, 1905. Station Clerk and Stenographer, at a salary of $75 per month for twelve months, appointment to begin August 1, 1905. H. B. Dirks, Assistant in Mechanical Technology, at a salary of $90 a month for ten months, appointment to date from September 1, 1905. Maurice L». Carr, Assistant in Physics, at a salary of $70 a month for ten months, appointment to begin September 1, 1905. Approved. DEAN WHITE ADDED TO STAFF OF STATION. 17. I recommend that Professor White, Acting Dean of the College of Engineering, be made a member of the staff of the Engineering Station. Approved. SALARIES OF PROFESSORS. 18. I recommend that salaries be fixed for the academic year 1905-06 as follows:
