It was voted that the contract must be executed by the Chicago College of Dental Surgery within ten days. President Draper made the following recommendations which were adopted:

To the Board of Trustees: I have the honor to make the following recommendations: 1. That the School of Dentistry resulting from combining the Chicago College of Dental Surgery and the Illinois School of Dentistry be made a College of Dentistry of the University. 2. That Dr. Truman W. Brophy be appointed Dean of said College. 3. That the organizations heretofore known as the Chicago College of Dental Surgery and the Illinois School of Dentistry be operated the coming year about as heretofore with the exception that the Dean shall have oversight over both; that the Dean submit to the President of the University as soon as practicable a statement showing the terms of engagements with instructors and others for the coming year; that such engagements be ratified and approved and reported to the Board a t the next meeting; and that all instructors in both schools be advised that all legal engagements will be carried out, and that those who prove their worth to the University will be desired to remain indefinitely in its service.

President Draper recommended the appointment of Grace Goodale as an instructor in library economy and cataloger in the Library at $70.00 per months for ten months from September 1st, and the recommendation was approved. The Board adjourned.
