PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES.

It is recommended that the Faculty of the School of Pharmacy be reappointed; that the guaranteed salaries be the same as last year, $3,000; that Dr. Rodgers be paid $100 and that the remaining $2,900 be divided as follows, viz.: Professor Hallberg one-third or $966.66, and Professor Packner the same, Professor Goodman two-ninths or $644.44, and Professor Day one-ninth or $322.22, and that each teacher pay his assistant if he has one; and if there should be an excess of receipts over expenses on this basis it be divided in the same proportion, excluding Dr. Rodgers, up to the sum of $1,500, beyond which sum the Faculty shall in no event have any claim.

SCHOLARSHIPS IN THE COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE.

URBANA, July 6,1901. lo the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois: Your Agriculture Committee and the President beg leave to report regarding scholarships in the College of Agriculture as follows: 1. That the special scholarships in the College of Agriculture be continued —one for each county (except Cook and Lake) and one each for the first ten congressional districts. 2. That appointments to these scholarships be made by the Trustees as heretofore upon recommendation of the Illinois Farmers' Institute. 3. That scholarships in Household Science (College of Agriculture) be established—one for each county (except Cook and Lake) and one each for the first ten congressional districts. 4. That appointments to scholarships in Household Science be made by the Trustees upon recommendation by the respective7 county domestic science associations organized in in connection with farmers institutes. 5. That counties and districts not represented by domestic science associations organized in connection with their farmers' institutes shall not be entitled to representation; but in case there should be more than one acceptable candidate from a given county that is so represented such excess may be assigned to counties not represented by organized associations.
