Respectfully submitted, E. G. KEITH, Treasurer. The committee appointed at the last meeting of the Board to examine the Treasurer's records, books, etc., (see page 37), was given further time. On motion of Mr. McKay, the bill for expenses incurred at the Beardsley Hotel at the time of the visit of the legislative committees on appropriations, amounting to $118.88, was ordered paid. The request of Mr. E. O Smith, a student, for the return of a part of his fees was refused by the following vote: Yeas, McKay, Smith, Nightingale; nays, Fulkerson, Bayliss, McLean, Flower, Garriel, Abbott, Hatch. A communication from Mr. S. B. Hedges asking for the renewal of his lease for three years from the first of January, 1900, at present rental, was received and referred to the Committee on Agriculture. An appropriation of $20 00, or so much thereof as might be needed, •was made for completing the line fence on the south farm, the money to be expended under the direction of the Business Manager. A communication was received from Mr. I. S. Raymond, until this meeting chairman of the Committee on Agriculture, stating that it had not been practicable to carry out the proposed plan of the drainage of the forestry plantation, and advising that the matter be referred again to the Committee on Agriculture. This recommendation was approved.

EXHIBIT AT STATE FAIR.

On motion of Mr. Smith, it was voted that Mr. Fulkerson be appointed a committee of one to negotiate such arrangements as he might find advisable with the Illinois State Board of Agriculture in order that the University might make exhibits of all its departments at the State Fair, and to report to the Board.
