that they find the same to be equivalent in kind and value to that which was received by the University of Illinois from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Chicago, April 21, 1897, and that it is accepted by both parties representing the University of Illinois and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Chicago, as meeting all of the requirements in this respect under the lease which terminated May 1, 1900. Respectfully submitted, Business Manager. This report was received and approved for record. On motion of Mr. Bullard, Mr. Nelson S. Spencer was elected Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds for the year beginning July 1, 1900, at a salary of $1,800.00, it to be understood that Mr. Spencer should devote his whole time to the service of the University. The Champaign and Urbana Water Company, through Mr. F. C. Amsbary, its manager, proposed to make a rate of $300.00 a year for the seven fire hydrants now connected with its water works, and a rate of $25.00 each year for all future hydrants to be connected. This proposition to go into effect when the University supplies through its own works water for other than fire purposes. The proposition was accepted. The Board adjourned.
