UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS.

[Sept. 20,.

On the 17th day of August, 1898, the name Columbian Dental College was> changed to the Illinois School of Dentistry, with the same capital. The session of 1897-98 was about an average in attendance, there being fifty-five matriculations. 1 wish, however, to say that many improvementsconducive to the interest and advancement of the school have been accomplished this year. We now have the strongest faculty and the best equipment in the history of the school, and we confidently expect a hundred matriculations this coming season. We feel assured that the school is now on the threshold of a wonderful growth and advancement not heretofore experienced.
