The original motion was then adopted on the following vote: Yeas—Fulkerson, McLean, Bullard, Smith, Hatch, Nightingale, Flower, Oarriel, Abbott; nays—McKay. On motion of Mr. McLean the following resolution was adopted: Besolved, That the Registrar prepare in circular form a statement of all scholarships provided for in the University and its several departments, whether by statute or otherwise, showing how applications for such scholarships shall be made and the necessary qualifications therefor. The Committee on Publication made the following report:

URBANA, ILLINOIS, Sept. 12, 1899. To the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois. Your Committee on Publication begs leave to recommend the appropriation of $50.00 for the publication of an additional 10^000 copies of the report of the analyses of foods to be displayed at the State Fair by the department of chemistry, the same to be paid for from the printing fund, and that this Committee be authorized t make the necessary contract. @ Having been authorized to prepare a scholarship certificate for the College of Agriculture, the Committee asks for an appropriation of $25.00 to pay for the same, also an appropriation of $4.40 to pay for cuts made for the agricultural circular. Committee on Publication. The report of the Committee was adopted and the appropriations made as therein asked for. Mr. Nightingale stated that it wTas reported to the Committee on the School of Medicine that certain repairs were badly needed upon the building occupied by the School. The making of these repairs was referred to the Committee with power to act. Mr. Fulkerson presented a request for scholarship in the Medical School, and Mr. McLean presented one for a scholarship in the College of Engineering. These were referred to the Committee on Instruction with a direction to report at the afternoon session. Adjourned to 1:30 o'clock, p. m.
