8. The actuary shall, with the advice and consent of the executive faculty, recommend the rate of compensation to be paid to any member of the corps of instruction, or to any employe of the School of Medicine. He shall under the same conditions recommend in what manner and in what amounts other sums from the treasury of the School of Medicine shall be expended on its account. 9. A sum not exceeding one thousand dollars from the net earnings of the ;School of Medicine of the previous year and not otherwise appropriated may be expended in the department of athletics if authorized by the executive faculty. K i n g , E v a n s , C h r i s t o p h e r , a n d P u s e y , of t h e School of M e d i cine, b e i n g present, t h e foregoing rules were discussed at l e n g t h and, on motion of Mr. N i g h t i n g a l e , were a d o p t e d by t h e following v o t e : Yeas, Bayliss, Bullard, M c L e a n , N i g h t i n g a l e , M r s . Oarriel, a n d M r s . Flower; nays, Fulkerson, McKay, and Mrs. Abbott. Mr. B u l l a r d , who h a d first voted in t h e n e g a t i v e a n d t h e n c h a n g e d h i s vote to t h e affirmative, gave notice t h a t at t h e n e x t m e e t i n g of t h e B o a r d h e would move a r e c o n s i d e r a t i o n of t h i s vote. T h e B o a r d t h e n a d j o u r n e d to meet at t h e call of t h e P r e s i d e n t .
