46 UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS. AGRICULTURAL EXPERIMENT STATION. Br. A. S. Draper, President University of Illinois, DEAR SIR : I beg leave to submit herewith the usual quarterly report of the Agricultural Experiment Station of the University of Illinois. The Board of Direction of the Experiment Station at its meeting yesterday directed me to ask leave of you to undertake the following experiments: 1. To test the digestibility of some foods for cattle. 2. To study methods of ripening cream for its better preservation and for the better keeping qualities of butter. In other respects the work of the Experiment Station will be continued during the next quarter along the lines already laid down. The papers submitted herewith are as follows: Paper A is a statement of expenditures of the Station for the quarter ending Sept. 30, 1894. Paper B is a statement of expenditures for the current quarter up to Nov. 30, 1894. Paper C is a list of warrants issued during the quarter ending Sept. 20> 1894, No. 1 to 80, inclusive, and is accompanied with vouchers for the same. Paper D is an estimate af appropriations needed to carry on the work of the Station during the current and next quarters.
