The treasurer stated t h a t since his last report $56,200 of the bonds belonging to t h e endowment fund of t h e University had been paid off, and t h a t he had purchased other bonds t o t h e amount of $63,000, bearing five and six per cent, interest, paying therefor a premium of $3,212. The board adjourned to meet a t t h e University at 8:30 o'clock Wednesday morning.

The board met pursuant to adjournment, t h e same members being present as yesterday. The business agent, Professor Shattuck, presented his report:

8. A. Bullard, Esq., President of the Board of Trustees, University of Illinois, SIR:—I have t h e honor to hand you herewith t h e financial statements due from me a t this time. Paper A gives t h e current appropriations and receipts for t h e three months ending Sept. 1, 1892. Paper B is a showing of t h e State appropriations, Sept. 1, 1892. Paper C is a similar one for t h e United States fund. Paper D is a list of vouchers presented for audit, being 701 to 1,075 inclusive. Paper E is an estimate of current receipts and expenses for t h e twelve months ending Sept. 1, 1893. Paper F is a similar one for t h e three months ending Dec. 1, 1892. The board is requested to appropriate t h e sums given under t h e head of expenses, for t h e purposes named.
