Th,e board is requested to appropriate the amount given under the head of expenses in Paper F. and for t h e overdraft on account of t h e World's Fair exhibit, Paper A, $13.76, and World's Fair material, Paper B, $133.76. The expenditures under these two appropriations were not under my control, being in the hands of committees. T h a t for t h e exhibit return was much larger than was expected, because of the large amount of furniture, cases, etc., presented to the University by t h e Illinois Board of World's Fair Commissioners. The board is also requested to make t h e following assignment of funds: From the state appropriation of $60,000 00— Salaries for instruction $13,500 00 Shop practice expenses 300 00 Buildings and grounds 190 59 $13,990 59
