UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS.

Professor Morrow was then heard with regard to a plan for holding two agricultural schools, each to continue one or two weeks—one in t h e northern part of the state, to be devoted largely to stock and dairy interests; the other in the southern part of the state, to be devoted chiefly • to horticultural interests. On motion of Mr. Morgan $250 was appropriated to be used, so much thereof as may be needed, with a like sum of the experiment station funds, in defraying the expenses of the instructors conducting these schools. Fifty dollars was appropriated for the purchase of dissecting tools for use in the veterinary department. The board then adjourned.
