On motion of Mr. Cobb, the recommendations of Professor Bicker regarding a new store-house for lumber, and a new dry kiln were referred t o the Committee on Buildings and Grounds. On motion of Mr. Graham, the Committee on Instruction with the Regent were requested t o propose suitable persons for the v a c a n t professorships and a s s i s t a n t s ' places. The Board then adjourned t o meet a t the Doane House, in Champaign, 111., a t 8 o'clock p, m.

EVENING SESSION.

The Board met p u r s u a n t t o adjournment a t 8 : 1 5 o'clock p . m., the same members being present as in t h e afternoon. On motion of Mr. R a a b , a p p r o p r i a t i o n s of the S t a t i o n funds were made according t o P a p e r D in the r e p o r t of t h e S t a t i o n . On motion of Mr. B a a b , a u t h o r i t y was given the Board of Direction t o expend unused balances of appropriation for this year as it requested. On motion of Mr. McKay, the Board of Direction was given the permission asked t o t a k e up new experiments. The Treasurer's report was received and referred t o t h e Finance Committee:
