An examination of the lists given below of articles published in the bulletins issued and of experiments carried on will give a good idea of the work of the Station for the two years past.

BUILDINGS.

The farm barn used by the Experiment Station has been rebuilt by the University at an expense of about $4,000. The dairy house has been rebuilt and refurnished, considerable additions have been made to facilities for pig feeding, and a building has been put up for housing wagons, implements, etc.

LIBRARY.

The library has received valuable donations of books from Mrs. Sarah S. Flagg, of Moro, 111., widow of the late Hon. Willard C. Flagg; from Sir John B. Lawes, England; from Samuel Edwards, of North Peoria; from S. W. Johns, of Decatur; and from Mrs. L. E. Haskell, of Rockford, widow of the late Geo. S. Haskell. The whole number of books and pamphlets, including bulletins, is 4,734.

PUBLICATIONS.

Ten bulletins, No. 12 to 21, inclusive, and two annual reports have been published. The bulletins contained in all 280 pages. Twelve thousand copies are printed and the circulation amounts to 10,420. Two annual reports contained, one 24 and the other 14 pages. The bulletins contained articles as follows: Bulletin No. 12, November, 1890, 32 pp. Field Experiments with Oats, 1890. Milk and Butter Tests. Cream Raising by Dilution. The Hessian Fly. Canada Thistles, their Extermination. Bulletin No. IS, February, 1891, 64 pp. Field Experiments with Corn, 1B90.
