Contracting for chemical supplies and a p p a r a t u s on a satisfactory bid. t o the a m o u n t of $1,000, was authorized on m o t i o n of Mr. Cobb. The m a t t e r of the purchase of an entomological collection, as proposed by Professor Forbes, was, on motion of Mr. Cobb, referred t o a committee, consisting of the President, Mr. Morgan, and the Regent, wTith power t o act. On motion of Mr. Cobb, $150 wras appropriated from the U. S. fund for the purchase of framed p o r t r a i t s and a table for the d e p a r t m e n t of English literature. On motion of Mr. Cobb, a p p r o p r i a t i o n s were made
