Set of apparatus and reagents illustrating the first year's work of the student in general experimental chemistry and quantitative analysis. Desk for quantitative analytical work showing methods for precise measurements of weight and volume and including complete set of apparatus and reagents used in the work. Desk with complete outfits as used by the student in conducting the work of organic analysis and organic synthesis. Table fittted up for gas analysis, showing both eudiometric and absorption methods. One sample outfit, as used in assaying ores, illustrating both dry and wet processes, and also electrolytic separations and depositions of the metals. Table with apparatus used in lecture room demonstrations and including facilities for investigations in thermo-chemistry. Printing and mounting of reports, plates, etc., and preparation of photographs of laboratories, showing also internal arrangements.
