To the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois. GENTLEMEN: The committee on sale of Minnesota lands offers t h e following report of its work since August 7, 1891: Sold, August 13, 1891, to Olof Mattson, the N . W . i, 10, 117, 35, 160 acres for $10 per acre; cash received, $400; on time, $1,200. This makes total amount of sales to date, $12,381.90. Your committee respectfully suggests t h a t the Secretary of the Board might well be added to it; also some additional members. Respectfully submitted,

The following appropriations, for the six months ending February 29, 1892, as asked for in Paper F, presented by the Business Agent, were then made, on motion of Mr. Cobb:

The assignments from state and congressional appropriations, as asked in the Business Agent's report, were then made, on motion of Mr. Cobb. The report on the expenditure of the state appropriation for the library, was referred to the Finance Committee. The report on Minnesota lands was approved, and the President of the Board, the Secretary, and the Business Agent, were made the committee on the sale of these lands. The special committee on military affairs made a report, which, after it had been read and discussed, was recommitted, to be revised by the committee. The Board then adjourned to meet at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning in the University Parlor.>
