There has been a desire expressed on the part of most of the members of the Faculty for considerable additions to the library. I t is indeed impossible to do the best work in several of the departments without these needed books. I respectfully repeat the proposal made by our former Regent, Dr. Peabody, t h a t $4,000 be assigned for this purpose, one-half the amount to be taken -from the congressional fund for year ending June 30. 1891, and one-half from t h a t of year ending June 30, 1892, when this last is available. I also respectfully ask t h a t an assignment of $150 be made for furniture for the Regent's office and parlor. The chairs now on hand for these rooms are quite too few in number, and a new carpet in the office would be a very desirable addition. At your meeting in March of this year you appropriated $100 for making wax models of fruits, etc. This work has been in progress during the summer with satisfactory results. We now And t h a t it is desirable to use in this way $50 more, if this may be permitted. A report by Professor Morrow is herewith submitted for your information concerning the farm:
