On motion of Mr. R a a b , the resignation was accepted, t o t a k e effect September 1, 1 8 9 1 , and t h e report on Minnesota l a n d s was approved for record. On motion of Mr. Cobb, Professor Morrow and Mr. F a r r i n g t o n were appointed delegates t o represent, respectively, t h e University and the Experiment S t a t i o n a t the next meeting of the Association of American Agricultural Colleges and Experiment Stations, and $75 was a p p r o p r i a t e d from current funds t o defray their expenses. Professor Morrow was, on motion of Mr. Cobb, elected President of t h e Board of Direction of the Experiment Station, t o t a k e effect September 1, 1 8 9 1 . The petition of the Academy was referred t o the Committee on Buildings and Grounds, with instructions t o report a t t h e next meeting o" the B o a r d .

REPORT OF BUSINESS AGENT.

The Business Agent, Professor Shattuck, then presented the following r e p o r t :

AUGUST 7, 1891.

S. A. Billiard^ Esq., President Board of Trustees, University of Illinois. DEAR SIR: The Board is asked to authorize the payment of the inclosed bill of Hubbard & Sons for repairs on the towers of University Hall. One hundred and fifty dollars additional for immediate repairs of roofs of the University buildings is needed. A much larger amount could well bs expended on them, but the above sum is necessary. Professor Stratton requests that $500 more be assigned for electric apparatus, and that $275 be granted for the floor and partition of the electric room.
