the question of economy. I t must be remembered, however, that digestibility is a very important quality in foods. I t is presumable that the solids of milk are more digestible than the solids of corn meal. Another important element is the amount eaten in a given time. When milk was fed with corn meal more solids were consumed daily than when corn meal was fed alone. More food was available, therefore, to produce increase. Hence palatability becomes important by increasing 'the amount an animal will consume in a given time.
