On motion, the Chair appointed Messrs. McLean, Scott and Millard, a committee to examine the vouchers in the hands of the Treasurer. Treasurer Bunn presented the contract, duly signed by Messrs. Bunn and Gardner on behalf of this Board, and by the Chairman and Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of Champaign county, stipulating that $20,000 of said county bonds therein described be carried by the Board of Trustees until May, 18—, provided that said bonds shall draw ten per cent, per annum. The following resolution was offered by Mr. Millard, and adopted:

Resolved, T h a t t h e E x e c u t i v e C o m m i t t e e b e and h e r e b y a r e a u t h o r i z e d to d e m a n d a n d u s e all n e c e s s a r y m e a n s to collect from t h e c o u n t y of C h a m p a i g n t h e b a l a n c e of t h e loan, a b o u t two t h o u s a n d dollars, due t h e Illinois I n d u s t r i a l University. ' . ...„_

On motion of Mr. Gardner, the bond of J. W. Bunn, Treasurer of this Board was fixed at one hundred thousand dollars, and the Executive Committee authorized to receive and approve the same. The following resolution was offered by Mr. Gardner, and passed;

W H E B E A S , $30,000 of P i k e C o u n t y b o n d s m a t u r e a n d will be p a i d J u l y 1, 1879; be it Resolved, T h a t t h e T r e a s u r e r be a n d h e is h e r e b y a u t h o r i z e d to r e i n v e s t said a m o u n t to b e s t a d v a n t a g e , a n d r e p o r t his action to t h i s B o a r d .

Professor S. W. Shattuck presented the following report, which was received:

P a p e r C, is a list of w a r r a n t s , d r a w n since t h e M a r c h m e e t i n g of t h e B o a r d . T h o s e from 528 to 572 a r e d r a w n at t h i s t i m e . P a p e r D, is a list of s e v e r a l bills p r e s e n t e d for a p p r o v a l . 102, Dr. G r e g o r y c a n inform y o u of. No. 3, is for a s u r g i c a l i n s t r u m e n t v e r y m u c h n e e d e d by Dr. P r e n t i c e in his d e p a r t m e n t work.
