Average gain of steers in yard 210 lbs. Average in stable, 177£ lbs. Average in shed, 220 lbs. Assuming 15 lbs. beets and 6 lbs. meal to be equal in feeding value, the 12 steers required 10 < lbs. of meal, and the 2 calves 4 35 lbs. to make 1 lb. of increased weight.
