155 APBIL, 1872. The Committee met in the Begentfs office, on Wednesday, April 3d, at 4 o'clock P. M. Present—Messrs. Cunningham, Cobb, Goltra, Pearson, Scott and the Eegent. Absent—Messrs. Brown, Lawrence and Pickrell. The Begent read the reports of the Horticultural and Mechanical departments; also, the report of the Book-keeper, with statement of expenditures and collections. The petty expense of the Book-keeper, for $29 10, was audited and allowed. § The bills presented for payment were audited and ordered paid. An amount of $500, for thirty-six lectures on Commercial and Constitutional Law, was allowed. The Committee then took a recess until 7:30 P. M. The Committee re-assembled at the hour appointed. The programme for the year's work and estimate of expenditures from the Superintendent of Experiments, Hon W. G. Flagg, was submitted to the Committee by Mr. Pearson, and approved. The Begent was authorized to procure the engravings needed for the new Catalogue. The meeting then adjourned, to meet at the call of the Begent.

APBIL 12, 1872. The Committee met on Tuesday, April 12, 1872, at 4 P, M., pursuant to a call of the Begent. Presentr—Messrs. Cobb, Cunningham, Goltra, Pearson^ Scott, and the Begent. Absent—Messrs. Brown, Lawrence and Pickrell. The record of last meeting was read and approved. The Committee then proceeded to inspect the new main building of the University, taking a recess till 7 P* M*
