Mechanical Department—Van Osdel, Brown of Chicago, Dunlap, Goltra and Griggs.

On motion, the nominations were adopted. The question arising whether, in the election of officers, a majority of the full Board should be required to elect, or only a majority of the members present, Mr. PICKRELL offered the following resolution:

Resolved. That in the election of officers, a majority of the members present (being in all cases a quorum) ^hall only be required; and that all resolutions and rules of the Board in conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed.

Carried. Judge BROWN moved that the Board proceed to the election of officers. Carried. On motion of Mr. LAWRENCE, the subject was deferred, and made the special order for Thursday, March 11, at ten o'clock A.M. The Finance Committee then reported as lollows:
