On motion of Mr. YANOSDEL, the report of the Committee from the Board of Supervisors was accepted. Mr. MAHAN offered the following:

Resolved, That the action of the Board of Supervisors of Champaign county, in donating valuable city lots to the University, to enlarge the grounds surrounding the University building, making up the amount to ten acres, entitles that Board and the people of the county, to the gratitude of all the friends of the Institution, and to the appreciation of all the citizens of the State.

Adopted. Mr. QUICK moved that the Eegent be authorized to issue a circular, giving information touching the terms of admission of students to the University. Carried. Mr. CUNNINGHAM moved that the Secretary of this Committee be authorized to procure a suitable book, in which the minutes of the proceedings of the Committee may be kept. The motion was carried* The Committee adjourned until 74 o'clock, P.M., to meet at the Houston House.

EVENING SESSION.

Met at the Houston House at 7^ o'clock, p. M., pursuant to adjournment. REGENT in the Chair. Quorum of members of the Committee present. Proceeded to business.
