Students in ACE 499 create Excel tools to perform tasks more efficiently. These special projects allow agribusiness students to develop practical skills needed on the job. Come see the research behind the Excel projects. ACES James Scholar project presented by Traci Kingdon (El Paso, IL).

The Effect of a Hormonal Injection on Estrus Resynchronization

Experimentation led this James Scholar to realize the importance of inducing estrous after a failed initial breeding, so that beef cows can become pregnant in a timely manner. A hormone called GnRH was used in an attempt to synchronize egg development in ovarian follicles so that the follow-up pregnancy rates would be high. ACES James Scholar project presented by Thomas Maske (Mount Pulaski, IL).
