ISGS Open House Come join the fun and excitement at the 2007 ISGS Open House on Friday, March 9, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 10, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Learn about the ISGS, watch the geologic history of Illinois come to life in “Build Illinois,” hunt for buried treasure at the “Kids Fossil Dig,” try to stump our geologists with your questions (ask why a dinosaur has never been found in Illinois), get up close to a drill rig that can penetrate hundreds of feet into the Earth’s surface, learn about our state’s energy resources, and much more.
